What is the biggest misconception about the industry?
One common misconception is that implementing modern parking systems is cost prohibitive. While there is an initial investment involved, these systems are highly cost-effective in the long run. They provide construction cost savings, faster return on investment, there is a reduced space allocation compared to traditional garages, they are reliable and durable, and environmentally beneficial by providing a reduction in the carbon footprint. The saved space these systems allow for equates to that space being reallocated for higher uses for a project including green space, community and public areas, and increased living / people occupied areas. What is your biggest current challenge at work?
The current challenge is educating and providing awareness to developers, architects, engineers, consultants, and municipalities on the financial, design, community, and environmental benefits of the multi-level parking systems for both self-park and valet operations. Multi-level stacked parking systems are a cutting-edge solution that maximizes space utilization by incorporating vertical expansion. What project is your company most proud of?
One of our recent project system implementations is at The Mather in Tysons Corner, Virginia. The parking includes our 3 High Stacker Systems - SingleUp 3015 - for the valet operation. KLAUS Multiparking America Inc. provided 130 systems which allows for 390 parking spaces. The Mather is a senior living community that enhances the lives of those 62 years old and better with exceptional programs, services, and amenities. The Palm – A great steakhouse and interesting venue to check out celebrities. For a casual restaurant - there are too many that I enjoy to name.
