What is the biggest misconception about the industry?
That all companies in our trade are created equal and a price is just a price. We provide a level of service and value that many companies can't compete with.
What is your biggest current challenge at work?
Finding qualified team members in a booming market.
What keeps you up at night?
Thinking about how we can continually grow, while simultaneously keeping our reputation we have earned over the course of 35 years.
What project is your company most proud of?
We have several but 414 Light Street in Baltimore, MD is near the top of the list.
How does your ABC membership help your company?
It provides a large network of useful resources
What did you want to be when you grew up?
My father started the business when I was three years old. He included me in the company at a young age and it has kept my interest since.
Tell us something no one in the industry knows about you.
My father told me to work hard, treat people well and be honest. I do this every day of my life.
What do you look forward to each day?
I enjoy coming to work and seeing the people I work with, knowing that collectively we are going to make a positive impact on the projects we are working on. Then of course, going home and spending time with my family.
What are you like to work for?
I like to think I am a very fair leader who values the people I work with. After all, I couldn't do any of this without them.
What is your favorite metro Washington hangout/restaurant?
I love taking my kids to Caps games.
What do you do for fun?
I coach soccer. I love to golf and fish. My kids are very active so my weekends are spent chauffeuring kids from event to event.

What was your first job?
I worked on our delivery truck at 14 making deliveries and cleaning up trash.
