What is the biggest
misconception about the industry?
That we are just a couple
of people sweeping up dirt and wiping down walls. We are much more than that-we
have to have an understanding of all materials and finish surfaces. If we are
not aware of what stone or type of materials are used when we try to clean we
can damage the surface. We need know what type of flooring and if we need to
wax or seal (if it is in the scope of work). The post-construction cleaning
industry calls for a very educated eye for detail and a lot of elbow grease.
What is your biggest
current challenge at work?
Trying to fit everything I
need to accomplish in a day.
What keeps you up at night?
Submitting bids before the
due date with an accurate amount taking in account all surfaces and height of
windows and specific needs to make every inch of the project look the way it
needs to for turnover.
What project is your company
most proud of?
We are proud of every job
we perform. Recently, we were able to complete two Baltimore City Schools on
time right before the schools opened, even though the timelines were cut in
half and the renovations were still in progress. In the end, each classroom and
hallway were sparkling to welcome the new students.
