
The 2025 Safety Peer Group includes member participants with a wide range of experience, from safety professionals, business owners, consultants, superintendents and more.
The Safety Peer Group meets the third Thursday each month at 10:00-11:30am. Complimentary to ABC of Metro Washington members.

2025 Dates:
- January 16 - Winter Weather Safety Hazards; Slips, trips and falls. Working at heights, equipment inspections, etc. in frozen temperatures.
- February 20 - Mental Health; Where the industry is going to combat the mental health crisis in construction with trainings, site requirements, etc.
- March 20 - Vendor 'Sales Solutions'; Fall Protection and Rescue, PPE, Workzone and Traffic Safety
- April 17--OSHA's top three spring safety topics include:
- Wet weather; slips, trips, and falls; driving in dangerous conditions; mud.
- Dangerous working conditions (outdoors); electrical issues; loss of power; safety outdoors.
- May 15--Requesting a voluntary OSHA inspection: Pros & Cons
- OSHA On-Site Consultation Program prevents workplace injuries and saves the U.S. economy.
- OSHA onsite consultation is a voluntary inspection with no citations or penalties.
- Witnesses may refuse to sign documents during voluntary interviews.
- OSHA may demand documents related to the inspection.
- June 19--How to Communicate After a Critical Incident to the Media, Social Media, etc
- What not to say and how to say anything
