Federally, the Safe Drinking Water Act of 1974 requires Public Water Systems to keep harmful contaminants and pollutants from entering the water distribution system through cross-connections and backflow. Individual States, Regulatory Authorities and Licensing Agencies realize the critical nature of protecting the potable water within their respective jurisdictions and for this reason, Certified Cross Connection Control Professionals are in demand.    

The Mid-Atlantic Backflow Academy brings cutting-edge backflow instruction at a centralized, east coast location. 

Current Backflow classes provided are:

• Backflow Certification (32-Hour Class)
• Backflow Re-Certification (8-Hr Class)
• Backflow Repair and Maintenance Class

IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ BEFORE REGISTERING

1) To receive the ABC of Metro Washington member rate, registrants MUST be a current member of ABC of Metro Washington or another Maryland ABC chapter. Current membership will be verified prior to start of the class.

2) As a non-member, if you register at the member rate, you will be charged the full-non-member rate PLUS a $50 processing fee.  We will also hold completion documents until we resolve any payment issues.
